Baltimore, Maryland: Are you selling or buying a dental practice? It is important for buyers and sellers to understand each other! Dr.Tom Bonsack, President of MidAtlantic Dental Transitions, discussed the pertinent issues for sellers and buyers when he spoke on February 23rd to the Francis Scott Key Study Group located in Frederick, Maryland. During this event, Dr.Bonsack answered important questions about the dental practice transition process to 25 local practicing dentists. Dr. Bonsack also spoke to the Orthodontic and Pediatric Dental resident students at Howard University Dental School on February 24th. He tailored this lecture around transitioning into a dental practice, understanding associateships and understanding the issues that come with buying a practice. “I am always honored to speak to my fellow dentists about buying and selling a dental practice,” said the retired dentist. MidAtlantic Dental Transitions is a company led by Dr. Bonsack and an accomplished dental CPA, Ed Ramsey. Together, they form a comprehensive dental transition team. Dr. Bonsack mentioned, "The majority of dentists will either buy or sell a practice in their lifetime, so it’s important to fully understand the issues." Upcoming speaking engagements for Dr. Bonsack are as follows. He will be speaking April 13th as part of a webinar for the Dental Technology Center. He will also lecturing with other Dental practice transition experts at the Chesapeake Dental Conference in Ocean City on September 23rd.

Bonsack DDS is a 1986 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at West Jersey Health Systems. Dr. Bonsack practiced for 25 years, starting from the ground up in Abingdon, MD. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association and the Harford-Cecil Dental Society. His experience includes starting, managing, buying and selling dental practices.
